Beginning with a tape-echo-drenched guitar meditation created when he was only seventeen and ending with an enigmatic guitar-cello-bass postscript recorded in the days immediately following the 2020 US election, Blake Leyh gives us a comprehensive tour of his ambient works. 15 tracks, 97 minutes of music, recorded over forty years. The 12-page CD booklet includes extensive liner notes including gear and technology usage over the years, and a brand-new essay – “My Ambient Life” – from the composer reflecting on four decades of making ambient music and film scores.
